Providing an opportunity for students to showcase their own hard work and creativity through a juried show and sale.

The objective of the show and sale is to expose students to the submission, public critique, and public display components of the extended artistic process.​ Part of becoming a true artist is finding the courage to display your work, and growing through feedback and discussion.

Eligibility:

• Open to all Art and Soul Creative students.

• Entries can not be replications of another artist's work.​

  • Entries not found to be original will be excluded from the jury process.​

• Limited to two entries per person.

  • Maximum of one entry per person will be accepted into the show (the best of the entrant's submissions, judged by the jury), feedback will be given on all pieces entered.

• ​Entry fees are $45 ​per entrant. 

• Entries must be ready to hang (framed or unframed - hanging wire or hook required).

Dates:

• Submissions must be received at the studio by no later than 5pm on Friday, September 20th, 2019.

• Feedback discussion on unaccepted entries will take place 6pm-8:30pm on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019.

• Works not selected for the show and sale must be picked up by the entrant no later than 5pm on Thursday, November 14th, 2019.

• Opening reception 1pm-4pm on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at The Barracks Inn, located in Ancaster, ON.

  • Winners (first, second, and third prize, determined by jurors) will be announced at the reception.

Sales of Exhibited Art:

• Sale of the art will be handled by Art and Soul Creative.​

  • Pricing will be determined by Art and ​Soul Creative's professional judgment to guarantee consistency and fairness.

  • Art and Soul Creative will not retain any of the sales revenue. ​

  • 10% of all sales will be retained and donated to Wellwood, who are committed to providing services to cancer patients and their families, to help them live well with cancer.

  • It is not mandatory to list your piece for sale. 

• Due to Privacy Act Legislation, only buyers who self-identify as willing to share their details can/will be shared.

• Please PRINT the following form, fill it out, and attach it to the back of each physical individual entry. If only entering one piece, you can leave Entry #2 blank.
